Where are my things stored?
On your iPhone, in the app's own container, and in your encrypted device backup. Nothing is uploaded — see Privacy.
Why can I not find a word I know I saved?
Photos and voice notes are read in the background. If you have just added a lot at once, the bottom of the chat list shows how many are left. Search covers what you typed, the text inside your photos, and the transcript of your voice notes.
A voice note came out in the wrong language
Open ⋯ ▸ Settings ▸ Voice ▸ Transcription language and choose one instead of Automatic. Then use Reading ▸ Read everything again, on the same screen, to redo the older notes.
What is free, and what is Selv Pro?
Free gives you three chats and one space, not counting the Inbox. Selv Pro adds as many chats and spaces as you like, and headings, lists, checklists, quotes and tables inside a message. Capture, reading your photos, transcribing your voice notes and searching all of it are unlimited either way.
I paid before. How do I get it back on a new iPhone?
Open ⋯ ▸ Settings ▸ Restore purchases — the first section on the screen. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with. Nothing needs to be re-bought, and there is no account or password to remember, because Selv never had one.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In Apple's own Settings, under your name ▸ Subscriptions. Selv cannot cancel it for you — Apple handles the billing and does not give the app that power. A one-time unlock has nothing to cancel.
Where is the rest of it explained?
In the app, under ⋯ ▸ Settings ▸ Guide. It covers the share sheet, the widget, the Control Centre buttons, Siri, and everything the interface does not say out loud.
Does it work offline?
Entirely. Selv has no networking code, so airplane mode changes nothing. The one exception is buying or restoring Selv Pro, which goes through the App Store and so needs a connection for that moment only.
