A chat for every idea.
Selv is a notebook shaped like a chat. Every idea, project or trip gets its own conversation, and you send things to it the way you would message a friend — text, photos, files, voice notes, links.
Finding it again is the point
Every photo you send is read. Every voice note is written down. Both happen on your iPhone, using the system's own models — so a screenshot you kept in March is findable in June by a word you remember seeing in it, rather than by a word you typed.
Better than messaging yourself
Most people already do this in WhatsApp or Telegram. It works for getting things in and falls apart when you want them back: one endless saved thread, and a trip through your unread messages every time you open it. Selv gives each subject its own conversation, has nothing else in it to distract you, and searches inside your photos and voice notes rather than only the words you typed.
Nothing leaves your iPhone
No account. No server. Selv contains no networking code at all, so there is nothing to send even by accident. Everything except buying Selv Pro works exactly the same in airplane mode, which is the easiest way to check.
Free, and Selv Pro
Selv is free for three chats and one space, not counting the Inbox. Everything that makes it worth keeping — capture, reading your photos, transcribing your voice notes and searching all of it — is unlimited on the free plan and always will be.
Selv Pro adds as many chats and spaces as you like, and headings, lists, checklists, quotes and tables inside a message. It is a one-time unlock if you would rather buy it once, or a monthly or yearly subscription — the App Store shows the price in your own currency.
On iPhone and iPad
The same app, with the list and the conversation side by side on a bigger screen.
Requires iOS 26 or later. Questions are answered on the support page, and what is and is not collected is set out in full under privacy.
